Vegetarian chili When I cooked chilli con carne for the initial time, I remember. It was years back, and also it was so easy! I fried some beef and then ... I opened up a pack of spices mix! I added it to the meat together with tomatoes, a sprinkle of water and also red kidney beans and done! Yes, despite the fact that I am ashamed to confess to it now, I need to admit that I used a shop-bought mix to make that meal in the past. But there is something a lot more humiliating. When that all set to prepare package wasn't readily available anymore, I quit preparing chilli con carne. Why? I thought back then that making it from square one was too complicated and that I would never achieve the same taste. When I ultimately got my nerve and also a terrific recipe, too! I recognized that thanks to cooking it myself, I knew what exactly was in it. And it tasted possibly also better than the one I used to make. No wonder then that it soon turned into one of my family's favorite
